Blogging is rewarding in the short term and long term. Here I raise a toast to myself after completing 350 posts in my blog. The audience is spread across geographies like the US, India and Ireland. This is my landmark on the world internet map !!! 😃😃😃

Kapichitta (monkey-mind) from Chinese xinyuan and Sino-Japanese shin'en  心猿   [lit. "heart-/mind-monkey"] is a psychological state described by the Buddha. 🙏🙏 It involves lack of focus and low attention spans. The origin of this terms is related to the behavior of monkeys that swing from branch to branch in order to find fruit to satiate their hunger. They are in a state of constant movement. I personally consider it the equivalent of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Through meditation one can control the monkey-mind. Possibly in today's Internet driven generation with tabbed browsers the symptom is having many tabs open simultaneously, trying to glean as much information as possible in the minimum possible time.

This must be the craziest post that I have made .... It features a rather unwelcome guest ..... A RAT !!! (The creature in question left behind some nibbled potatoes and poop (as collateral damage !) Reminds me of a nursery rhyme - This is the rat, That ate the malt That lay in the house that Jack built

Internet glitches notwithstanding www.chess.com  continues to be a mental exercise worth it's time. I completed 2250 blitz games (5 mins for each opponent). See graphic ..... I won game no. 2250.
