This is a commentary on "The Koran - by John Meadows Rodwell". - sura III The Family
of Imran.
This chapter comes with some interesting imagery and pithy aphorisms.
1. I have surrendered myself to God, as have those who follow me.
2. O God, possessor of power, thou givest power to those whom thou wilt, and from whom thou wilt thou takest it away.
3. (Of Jesus). And he shall speak to men alike when in the cradle and when grown up, and he shall be one of the just.
4. Whatever is in the Heavens and whatever is on Earth is God's. And to God shall all things return.
5. Who give alms, alike in prosperity and in success, and who master their anger and forgive others....God loves the doers of good.
6. Taste ye the torment of the Burning.
7. Every soul shall taste of death.
8. God will not inflict a wrong upon his servants.
9. How many a prophet had combatted those who had with them many myriads.
10.Believe ye on your Lord.
Very rich ideation and visualization.....
Will revert on more chapters later............
