A Man is like a tree.
Once a tree's roots bind to the soil, it develops an identity that is integrated with it's environment.
With a Man, the logic is similar.
A Man is not just domiciled to his place of origin....
He is synonymous with it.
The diet, language, climate, social laws and mores become an assimilated part of his identity.

Let us look at these factors one by one -

1. Diet - This is a big problem when a person relocates. If he is a vegan or vegetarian, he may not find many options to tickle his palate. Also lack of additives like spices, may make his food look unappetizing.
2. Language - Relocating to China .... Need to know Mandarin ! In many countries people are not fluent in English, and this can make life very frustrating.
3. Climate - In Europe and North America (Canada and the Northern states of the US), the weather can be inclement. (Tornadoes, Twisters etc.), particularly the Mid-West of the US. You may find it too cold for comfort, and for people from India, used to tropical and sub-tropical climate, this can be a big downer :-(.
4. Culture - Many Indians experience culture shock immediately after migrating to the West. Social norms are very different from India, and behavior which is unacceptable in India, is passe in the West. In the US and Europe you need to have a car, and the norm is Left Hand Drive unlike in India. Also domestic help is not easily affordable, unlike in India.
AND
5.Insurance - Medical costs, including dental, are prohibitively expensive, so you need a comprehensive cover for all these costs.

There are a few Jewels in the Crown too -

Chess blogging - Chessbase is back with a bang !

In view of my keen interest in UI for applications and websites, I feel it necessary to promote an investigation of the new play-chess interface on www.chessbase.com . * It is minimalistic * Allows you to play as Guest * Allows you to choose from different time-controls * Allows you to test your skills vis-a-vis opponents from across the globe Have a look at this interface, that is impressive from a UI developers point-of-view, and very conducive for a chess player to test his wits !  Whoa !  😇😇😇

B Trees🌲🌳🌴 databases and CHESS☺

Binary trees are a specific version of decision trees that have two nodes, one parent and two children, and this concept is used in database programming with relational databases like SQL server for creating in clustered and non clustered indexes. Alpha beta pruning together with B tree searches makeup the basis of chess programming. I have played a program that reached its thought horizon and then had a bizarre response inspite of  having an advantage of one pawn♟️
